Stella and Faith are an absolute breathe of fresh air! Ever since they have been looking after mum, she has completely turned around. They treat mum with so much respect and dignity and she does love to have a natter when they come round. A notable change in mum, she has become more brighter and happier since they came on board. Thank you for looking after mum so well. Would definitely recommend their service.

Outstanding and professional Service

We stumbled on AO Healthcare through a google search to see what care companies were closest to us.

Having had such a discouraging experience with previous care companies, we were initially reluctant to engage AO Healthcare mainly because as a family, we had been concerned with the deteriorating health of our dad, and really needed an organisation that properly assessed his needs and could properly offer him the support he needed.

When we requested an assessment, Stella came out to meet us and spend almost 2 hours carrying out an in-depth assessment of dad’s needs. During that assessment, she clearly demonstrated that she understood the assignment and even went further to suggest different ideas on how staff could actively engage with dad and involve him in decisions even though he was limited in terms of communication. That is what made us realise that this was the right care organisation for dad.

We then engaged AO Health to take care of dad and that was the best decision ever.
In the last two months, we have seen first-hand, a turnaround in in dad, from a time where we had been low in mood, to seeing his face light up when the carers come in.
We have been extremely impressed with the exceptional care, kindness and empathy demonstrated by Stella and her team of carers who have looked after dad with such compassion and to such a high standard, while maintaining his dignity throughout.

All we can say is thank you. Thank you for everything you have done for dad, particularly on the days he is not feeling so well. He has been treated with such exceptional levels of patience and kindness, with carers always willing to go above and beyond their duties to make sure dad was comfortable.
We are so grateful and relaxed in the knowledge that dad is in the best hands.

Sadly, I live over 250 miles from Mum and can’t afford to visit currently so it’s very reassuring that she is being looked after so well by Stella. She gets a positive mention in most of our phone calls and seems to genuinely care about Mum’s wellbeing. For example, when mum agreed she’d be more comfortable with a wheelchair I suggested she ask Stella if she knew how to go about getting one and she was on the case straight away.
I’ve definitely noticed mum being more cheerful and content since Stella has been visiting, and she also really liked the lady who visited when Stella was on holiday – whose name I have forgotten (sorry)

I might run out of superlatives in describing our experience of AO Healthcare. Our initial contact with Stella came at a time we were struggling to ensure our parents could remain living independently and safely in their own home, which we knew would require regular support. This was however met with resistance and there is no doubt, Stella’s open demeanor , integrity and professionalism got us over this hurdle in the most seamless way possible. I knew from the outset I could feel fully confident our parents needs would be met in the most thoughtful and proactive way. This has turned out to be an understatement, when in fact, Stella and her team, including Juan Luis and Faith, have built a trusting relationship with my parents and have very accurately read their individual emotional responses and practical requirements, knowing how to ensure their emotional and physical wellbeing. It is this detail in their application of their service which goes far beyond any reasonable expectations of a care service agreement ( well, I think so ! )
Our parents’ resistance has turned into acceptance and welcoming of the support they receive, but very specifically this is owing to the respect and discretion with which they are treated and the extra miles Stella goes in identifying those moments of uncertainty which accompany dementia. Stella is an outstanding manager and she leaves no stone unturned. I can’t speak highly enough of the care our parents receive and the warmth in which it is delivered. We owe so much to AO Health and know that if our parents could fully communicate their experience, it would undoubtedly involve five stars and a warm hug.
This is the best decision we made for our parents continued happiness and wellbeing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
